A mixture of 8-[6-(4-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-pyrimidin-4-yloxy]-quinoxalin-2-ylamine, (Example 37(d)), (0.55 g, 1.4 mmol) and acetic anhydride (0.82 mL, 8.6 mmol, Aldrich) in toluene (15 mL) was heated at 75° C. for 4 h. After stirring at room temperature for 16 h the mixture was treated with hexanes. The solids were removed by filtration, washed with hexanes and dried in vacuum for 24 h at room temperature to give the title compound as a tan powder. Mp: 237° C., MS (ESI, pos. ion) m/z: 426 (M+1).
