Procedure

The product from step B (1.07 g, 4.10 mmol) was dissolved in MeOH (5 mL) and KOH (0.460 g, 8.19 mmol, 1 mL MeOH) was added at rt. The reaction was stirred overnight, concentrated, diluted in EtOAc and washed with DI water. The organic layer was dried with Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated. The product was used as is. HPLC/MS: 166.2 (M+1); Rt=0.68 min.
