Racemic N-((4aRS,6RS,7aSR)-6-hydroxy-7a-(3′-methoxybiphenyl-3-yl)-4,4a,5,6,7,7a-hexahydrocyclopenta[d][1,3]thiazin-2-yl)benzamide (0.689 g, 1.50 mmol) is purified by chiral HPLC: 2.1×25 cm Chiralpak AD-H, 5 micron, 35% IPA/CO2, flow rate: 70 mL/min, UV: 225 nm. The first eluting isomer is isolated to provide the enantiomerically enriched title compound (0.242 g, 35%). ES/MS m/e: 459 (M+1).
