Reaction Steps

To a solution of N2,N10-bis(2-(dimethylamino)ethyl)-6-methoxy-5,7-dihydroindolo[2,3-b]carbazole-2,10-dicarboxamide (0.49 g, 0.97 mmol) in THF (100 mL) at 0° C. was added LiAlH4 (0.784 g, 20.66 mmol) under Ar and heated to reflux. The reaction mixture was quenched by dropwise addition of water (2 mL). The solution was filtered, concentrated, and purified by flash chromatography to provide the title product (35.8 mg). 1H-NMR (DMSO-d6, 400 MHz) δ ppm 10.94 (s, 2H), 8.74 (s, 1H), 8.05 (s, 2H), 7.36-7.22 (m, 4H), 4.12-4.05 (m, 2H), 3.84 (s, 3H), 3.16 (d, J=4.4 Hz, 4H), 2.62 (t, J=6.4 Hz, 4H), 2.34 (t, J=6.4 Hz, 4H), 2.10 (s, 12H); MS (ESI) m/z 485.4 (M−H)−
