7-(3-Bromophenyl)-9-azabicyclo[3.3.1]nonan-3-one (90) and 4-(trifluoromethyl)benzene-1-sulfonyl chloride (12.25 g, 50.1 mmol) in pyridine (100 ml) and CH2Cl2 (100 ml) was stirred for 24 h. The solution was concentrated and flash chromatographed with CH2Cl2 as the eluant to yield 2.29 g (19% yield over 4 steps) of compound 91 as a pink solid.
