Reaction Steps
Using the previous procedure, (S)(+) ibuprofen (Fluka reagent) is converted into its propionyl chloride, whose treatment with 3-dimethylaminopropylamine, in the procedure of the example 1, allows to obtain a sample of (S)2-(4-isobutylphenyl)]-N-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)-propionamide hydrochloride m.p. 97-98° C., [α]D=+27(c=1; CH3OH).
