By proceeding in a manner similar to Reference Example 33(a) but using 3-ethyl-4-methoxy-phenylamine [2.5 g, Reference Example 30(aa)] there was prepared N-(3-ethyl-4-methoxy-phenyl-acetamide (2.9 g) was prepared as a light brown solid. LC-MS (METHOD K): RT=3.92 minutes, 194.16 (M+H)+.
