Procedure

Following the procedure as described in Example 13, making variations as required to replace 4-(trifluoromethyl)benzyl bromide with 3-(2-bromoethyl)-1H-indole to react with ethyl 4-methyl-2-(2-oxoimidazolidin-1-yl)thiazole-5-carboxylate, the title compound was obtained as a colorless solid in 40% yield: 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDC3) δ 8.09 (s, 1H), 7.63 (d, J=7.8 Hz, 1H), 7.39-7.36 (m, 1H), 7.24-7.09 (m, 3H), 4.29 (q, J=7.1 Hz, 2H), 4.04-3.99 (m, 2H), 3.69 (t, J=7.2 Hz, 2H), 3.52-3.46 (m, 2H), 3.08 (t, J=7.1 Hz, 2H), 2.62 (s, 3H), 1.34 (t, J=7.1 Hz, 3H); MS (ES+) m/z 399.3 (M+1).
