Procedure
A mixture of 100 mg (0.314 mmol) of N-(6-fluoro-7-nitro-2,4-dioxo-1,4-dihydro-2H-quinazolin-3-yl)-methanesulfonamide and 0.185 ml (0.925 mmol) of dimethylamine (33% in ethanol) in a closed vial is heated in a microwave reactor at 150° C. for 15 minutes. After cooling, the reaction mixture is concentrated to dryness and the residue crystallized from tetrahydrofuran/water yielding 90 mg of the title compound as an orange powder, m.p. 245-260° C. (decomp.).
