The title compound is obtained as a yellow oil (0.77 g) in analogy to rac-4-(2,2-dimethyl-[1,3]dioxolan-4-ylmethoxy)-N-hydroxy-3,5-dimethyl-benzamidine starting from 3-ethyl-4-hydroxy-5-methyl-benzonitrile and D-alpha-beta-isopropyliden glycerol; LC-MS: tR=0.68 min, [M+H]+=308.99.
