The title compound was obtained by a procedure similar to that in Step C of Example 9. Namely, (E)-3,4-difluoro-2-(2-fluoro-4-iodo-phenylamino)-N-(2-hydroxy-ethoxy)-5-(hydroxyimino-meth yl)-benzamide was reduced with borane-pyridine complex in the presence of dichloroacetic acid to give 3,4-difluoro-2-(2-fluoro-4-iodo-phenylamino)-5-hydroxyaminomethyl-N-(2-hydroxy-ethoxy)-benzamide (28.14 mg, 81%).
