Procedure
A 200 mg amount of 5-amino-8-[3-(trifluoro-methyl)phenyl]-3H,6H-1,4,5a,8a-tetraazaacenaphthylen-3-one (prepared as described in Example 29) was suspended in 3 ml of pyridine, then 0.2 ml of p-methoxybenzoyl chloride was added in one portion and the reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 16 hours. The reaction was quenched in 100 ml of water and the solid which formed was collected by filtration and washed with ether to give 164 mg of the desired product as a white solid, m.p. 271°-273° C.
