By the method of Example 4, 6-trifluoromethylquinazolin-4(3H)-one and methyl trans-2-(3-bromo-2-oxopropyl)-3-methoxypiperidine-1-carboxylate were converted into the title compound in 24% yield; m.p. 137°-140° C. 1H--NMR(CDCl3) 1.4-1.9 (m, 4H), 2.9 (d, 2H), 3.3 (s, 3H), 3.5-3.9 (m, 4H), 3.7 (s, 3H), 5.2 (s, 2H), 7.7-8.7 (m, 4H).
