tert-Butyl [(2R,3S,5R)-5-[2-(trifluoromethyl)-5,6-dihydro[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyrazin-7(8H)-yl]-2-(2,4,5-trifluorophenyl)tetrahydro-2H-pyran-3-yl]carbamate from Step A was dissolved in a solution of hydrogen chloride (1 mL, 3N in ethyl acetate) and evaporated after two h to yield (2R,3S,5R)-5-[2-(trifluoromethyl)-5,6-dihydro[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyrazin-7(8H)-yl]-2-(2,4,5-trifluorophenyl)tetrahydro-2H-pyran-3-amine, dihydrochloride salt.
