| Product | 1-(beta-Carboxyethylamino)anthraquinone | HCID 10685268 | 91.5% |
Reaction Steps
15 Parts of acrylic acid are gradually added to a mixture of 22.3 parts of 1-aminoanthraquinone, 6.2 parts of boric acid and 120 parts of 100% sulphuric acid at 30°-35° C, and the mixture is then stirred for 12 hours at 90° - 95° C. The reaction mixture is then processed as described in Example 1 to give 27 parts (91.5%) of 1-(β-carboxyethylamino)anthraquinone.
