Following the procedure of Example 16, 9α-hydroxy-15-oxo-12-prostenoic acid ethyl ester is reacted with methyl magnesium bromide to produce 9α,15-dihydroxy-15-methyl-12-prostenoic acid ethyl ester as a mixture of the 15-epimers, Rf = 0.29.
