Procedure
Pentafluorobenzenesulfonyl chloride (25 g) was dissolved in 100 ml of methanol with ice-cooling, and 100 g of a 25% aqueous solution of tetramethylammonium hydroxide was gently added to the solution. The reaction solution was stirred at room temperature for 3 hours, thereby a solution of pentafluorobenzenesulfonic acid tetramethylammonium salt was obtained. This solution was used for salt exchange with a sulfonium salt and an iodonium salt.
