Intermediate A and N,N-dimethylbutane-1,4-diamine were reacted together using an analogous method to that described in Step 1 of Example 1 to afford 5-[1-(4-cyanophenyl)-1H-pyrazol-5-yl]-N-[4-(dimethylamino)butyl]-6-methyl-2-oxo-1-[3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-1,2-dihydropyridine-3-carboxamide (139 mg, 58%) as a white solid; 1H NMR (500 MHz, DMSO) δ 1.40 (4H, dq), 1.74 (3H, s), 2.06 (6H, s), 2.15 (2H, t), 3.24 (2H, q), 6.72 (1H, d), 7.67-7.64 (2H, m), 7.71 (1H, d), 7.88-7.81 (2H, m), 7.95-7.89 (4H, m), 8.06 (1H, s), 9.30 (1H, t); APCI-MSm/z: 563[MH+]
