Following Example 58, reaction of 5-chloro-1-methyl-4-nitro-1H-pyrazole and tert-butyl 3-aminopropylcarbamate gave tert-butyl 3-(1-methyl-4-nitro-1H-pyrazol-5-ylamino)propylcarbamate as a pale yellow gum (1.27 g, 85%). 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ 7.88 (s, 1H), 6.75 (s br, 1H), 4.67 (s br, 1H), 3.84 (s, 3H), 3.54 (q, J=6.6 Hz, 2H), 3.27 (q, J=6.6 Hz, 2H), 1.90-1.79 (m, 2H), 1.44 (s, 9H)
