6-Methyl-5-nitro-N-(3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)isoquinolin-l-amine (0.28 g, 0.81 mmol) was disolved in ethanol (20 mL) and 10% palladium on carbon (0.086 g, 0.81 mmol) was added to the solution. The reaction stirred overnight at RT under a hydrogen atmosphere. The reaction was filtered through celite and concentrated to give the title compound as a pink film (0.25 g, 98%). MS (M+H)+ 318.
