tert-butyl (8-((4-((4-((3-chloropropyl)carbamoyl)phenyl)amino)-6-(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)amino)octyl)carbamate (264 mg, 0.418 mmol) was dissolved in a 1:1 TFA (1 ml, 12.98 mmol)/DCM (1 mL). The reaction was stirred for 1 h. The solvent was removed under vacuum and the residue was dissolved in EtOAc and washed with saturated sodium bicarbonate solution, then brine. The organic layer was collected and dried over sodium sulfate, and concentrated under vacuum to give 222 mg (100%) 4-(4-(8-aminooctylamino)-6-(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)-1,3,5-triazin-2-ylamino)-N-(3-chloropropyl)benzamide as a white solid.
