The title compound was prepared from 5-bromo-3-[1-(6-chloro-3-fluoro-2-methoxyphenyl)ethyl]-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridine following the procedures described for the preparation of 5-Bromo-3-[1-(2-chloro-3-fluoro-6-hydroxyphenyl)ethyl]pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester from 5-bromo-3-[1-(2-chloro-3-fluoro-6-methoxyphenyl)ethyl]-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridine. 1H NMR (CDCl3, 300 MHz): δ=8.42 (d, J=2.1 Hz, 1H), 7.62-7.59 (m, 2H), 6.97-6.93 (m, 2H), 5.37 (d, J=5.1 Hz, 1H), 4.87 (q, J=7.2 Hz, 1H), 1.79 (d, J=7.2 Hz, 3H), 1.68 (s, 9H).
