In analogy to Example 1, step 4, 6-[2-(2-chloro-4-methoxy-phenyl)-1-hydroxy-1-trifluoromethyl-propyl]-7-fluoro-4-methyl-4H-benzo[1,4]oxazin-3-one was reacted with BBr3 to give the title compound as a colorless foam. MS (m/e, ISP neg. ion)=432.1 [M−H+].
