To 25 ml of dichloromethane solution containing 1.24 g (1.84 mmol) of ethyl 1-benzyloxymethyl-4-(3-tert-butoxycarbonylbenzyl)-5-(3-cyclopropoxy-4-difluoromethoxyphenyl)-2-formyl-1H-pyrrol-3-carboxylate obtained in Reference example 41-(c) was added 5 ml of trifluoroacetic acid, and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 3 hours. After completion of the reaction, the reaction mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure, and azeotropic dehydration with toluene was further carried out, and then the residue was dried under reduced pressure to obtain 1.21 g of the title compound as a yellowish oil substantially quantitatively.
