Procedure
To 40 ml of acetic acid solution containing 2.30 g (4.90 mmol) of 3-(1-hydroxy-2-methoxyethyl)-1,5-bis(2-trimethylsilylethoxymethyl)-1,5-dihydropyrrolo[2,3-d]pyridazin-4-one obtained in Reference example 57-(d) was added 1.0 g of 10% palladium-carbon, and the mixture was stirred under 1 atm hydrogen atmosphere at 80° C. for 2.5 hours. After completion of the reaction, insoluble material was filtered off from the reaction mixture, and the filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure. Water was added to the residue, the mixture was neutralized with a saturated aqueous solution of sodium hydrogencarbonate, and extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic layer was washed with a saturated aqueous solution of sodium chloride, dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate, and then, concentrated under reduced pressure. The obtained residue was applied to silica gel column chromatography (Eluent; hexane:ethyl acetate=3:7 (V/V)), and the fractions containing the desired compound were concentrated under reduced pressure to obtain 1.43 g of the title compound as a colorless oil. (Yield: 66%)
