Procedure
A mixture of tert-butyl 4-bromothiazol-5-ylcarbamate (420 mg, 1.5 mmol), tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(0) (170 mg, 0.15 mmol) and 2-tributyl-stannylpyrazine (930 mg, 2.5 mmol) in anhydrous dioxane (4 mL) was heated to 140° C. in a microwave reactor for 2 h. The reaction mixture was then concentrated in vacuo and purified by flash chromatography (EtOAc/hexanes) to give the desired product (260 mg, 62%). 1H NMR (CDCl3) δ11.10 (s, 1H), 9.47 (d, J=1.4 Hz, 1H), 8.52 (t, J=2.0 Hz, 1H), 8.45 (d, J=2.7 Hz, 1H), 8.40 (s, 1H), 1.58 (s, 9H); MH+ 279.0.
