phenylmethyl [(1S)-2,2-dimethyl-1-({(1S,4S)-5-[(5-phenyl-2-pyridinyl)carbonyl]-2,5-diazabicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-yl}carbonyl)propyl]carbamate (1.3 g, 2.47 mmol) was dissolved in methanol (40 ml). Next, 5% Pd/C (200 mg) was added under nitrogen. The reaction was hydrogenated at 45 psi under a hydrogen atmosphere for 18 h at room temperature. The reaction mixture was filtered and the filtrate concentrated to afford the title compound (0.9 g) as a yellow oil. LCMS (m/z): 393.1 (M+H).
