Methyl 2-((2-ethoxy-2-oxoethyl)carbamoyl)-3-hydroxy-1-oxo-1H-indene-4-carboxylate. The title compound is prepared by metal mediated carbonylation of ethyl 2-(3-hydroxy-4-iodo-1-oxo-1H-indene-2-carboxamido)acetate with carbon monoxide in MeOH according to literature procedures.
