Reaction Steps

To a solution of 22.1 (0.040 g, 0.082 mmol) in THF/MeOH (2/1) (1.5 mL) was added a 1 M solution of LiOH (0.50 mL, 0.500 mmol). The resulting mixture was stirred overnight at 23° C., quenched with excess 1 N HCl, and extracted with EtOAc. The combined organic layers were dried over Na2SO4, filtered, and concentrated. The residue was purified by silica gel chromatography (0 to 40% EtOAc/hexanes) to afford a 22 (0.019 g, 50% yield). MS ESI (neg.) m/e: 475.3 (M−H)+.
