N-[6-(Purin-6-ylamino)benzothiazol-2-yl]benzamide was prepared by heating a mixture of N-(6-aminobenzothiazol-2-yl)benzamide (IM 2, 50 mg, 0.186 mmol) and 6-chloropurine (29 mg, 0.186 mmol) in ethanol (3 ml) to 80° C. for 4 h. The resulting precipitate was separated by filtration and washed with ethanol (69 mg, 0.178 mmol, 96%). LC/ESI-MS: m/z 388 [M+H]+; m/z=386 [M−H]−; Rt=3.07 min.
