Compound 3 (0.60 g, 2.0 mmol) was dissolved in a mixture of 1,4-dioxane/H2O (10 mL, 1/1, v/v). Aq. NaOH (2.0 mL, 2N) was added and the mixture was stirred for 3 h at RT. The reaction mixture was neutralized with Dowex H+ and filtered. The filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure and the resulting white solid was dried under vacuum. Yield 0.51 g (93%).
