In step (6) of Reaction Scheme II, a 3-amino-4-chloro[1,5]naphthyridine or 3-amino-4-chloroquinoline of Formula XXXI is reacted with an acyl halide of Formula R2C(O)Cl or R2C(O)Br to provide an N-(4-chloro[1,5]naphthyridin-3-yl)amide or N-(4-chloroquinolin-3-yl)amide of Formula XXXII. The reaction can be carried out using the method described in step (2) of Reaction Scheme I.
