Procedure

The title compound (22 mg) was prepared from 3-(4-chloro-phenyl)-4,5,7,8-tetrahydro-1H-1,2,6-triaza-azulene-6-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (Example 103, Step B; 0.30 mmol) using chloro-cycloheptane (1.0 mmol) in place of chloro-cyclobutane according to Example 238. The reaction sequence also yielded 3-(4-chloro-phenyl)-2-cycloheptyl-1,4,5,6,7,8-hexahydro-1,2,6-triaza-azulene-6-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester in the alkylation step. MS (ESI): exact mass calculated for C20H26ClN3, 343.18; found, m/z 344.4 [M+H]+. 1H NMR (500 MHz, CD3OD): 7.40-7.34 (m, 4H), 4.31-4.27 (m, 1H), 3.39-3.37 (m, 2H), 3.28-3.26 (m, 2H), 3.17-3.16 (m, 2H), 2.95-2.92 (m, 2H), 2.04-2.01 (m, 2H), 1.92-1.90 (m, 2H), 1.77-1.75 (m, 2H), 1.63-1.53 (m, 6H).
