Reaction Steps
2-{1-[4-(3,3-Dimethyl-2-oxo-butoxy)-3-methyl-phenyl]-1-ethyl-propyl}-benzofuran-6-carboxylic acid methyl ester (0.88 g, 1.95 mmol) in THF (40 mL) is reacted with NaBH4 (0.148 g, 3.91 mmol) analogous to Example 22 to obtain the title compound (0.78 g, 89%).
