Reaction Steps
To a solution of 4-[3-(t-butyl-diphenyl-silanyloxy)-1-hydroxy-propyl]-3-vinyl-phenyl dimethylcarbamate (3.00 g, 5.95 mmol) synthesized in step (f) of Example 192 and carbon tetrabromide (3.98 g, 12.0 mmol) in dichloromethane (20 ml) was added triphenyl phosphine (3.14 g, 12.0 mmol) at room temperature, and the resulting mixture was stirred for 1 hour at room temperature under a nitrogen atmosphere. After stirring, the reaction mixture was evaporated in vacuo, and the residue was purified by chromatography on a silica gel column using a mixed solvent of hexane and ethyl acetate (5:1-2:1) as the eluent to afford the title compound (2.62 g, yield: 78%) as a colorless oil.
