6-chloro-3-[2-methoxy-4-(3-piperidin-1-ylpropoxy)phenyl]-2-methylpyrido[3,4-d]pyrimidin-4(3H)-one synthesized in Example 184 (143 mg, 0.32 mmol) was dissolved in methylene chloride (3 mL), boron tribromide (1M methylene chloride solution, 3.2 mmol) was added on an ice bath, stirred at room temperature for 15 hours, and stirred at 40° C. for 3 hours. Saturated carbonated water was added to stop the reaction, the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate, and dried with anhydrous sodium sulfate. The product was purified by silica gel column chromatography (chloroform/methanol=20/1), and the target compound (49 mg, 35%) was obtained as a light yellow solid.
