Crude (S)-(2-Chloro-phenyl)-[6-(2,4-difluoro-phenoxy)-2-fluoro-4-(2-hydroxy-propylamino)-pyridin-3-yl]-methanone (837 mg, 1.92 mmol) was treated with hydrazine using the procedure of step 5 of Example 9 to afford 148 mg of (S)-1-[3-(2-Chloro-phenyl)-6-(2,4-difluoro-phenoxy)-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridin-4-ylamino]-propan-2-ol. Mass spec., M+1=432. Mp=237.9-238.5° C.
