Reaction Steps

Sodium hydride (60% dispersion in oil, 22 mg, 0.54 mmol) was added to a solution of the pyrazole from Example 60 (100 mg, 0.41 mmol) and 1-bromo-2-methoxy-ethane (51 μl, 0.54 mmol) in dimethylformamide (1.5 ml) at 0° C. under nitrogen. The reaction was allowed to warm to room temperature and was stirred for 4 hours. The reaction was quenched with water and the solvent was removed under reduced pressure. The residue was partitioned between ethyl acetate (20 ml) and water (10 ml) and the organic phase was washed with water (2×10 ml), dried over magnesium sulphate and concentrated under reduced pressure. The residual oil was purified by flash chromatography on silica gel eluting with a solvent gradient of 100% pentane changing to 100% ethyl acetate and finally ethyl acetate:methanol (90:10, by volume) to provide the title compound (66 mg) as a colourless oil.
