Procedure
A solution of example 4 (0.105 g) in methanol (15 mL) was treated with 2N NaOH (0.5 mL) and the mixture heated to reflux for 20 minutes. The cooled reaction was concentrated and the residue diluted with water (20 mL) 2N hydrochloric acid was added and the resulting suspension extracted with dichloromethane (20 mL). The organic extract was dried over MgSO4 and concentrated to give the title compound as a yellow solid.
