4-(1-Methyl-2-(2-methylprop-1-enyl)imidazol-5-yl)-2-anilinopyrimidine (method 110; 400 mg, 1.3 mmol), and 10% Pd on C catalyst (150 mg), in ethanol (50 ml), was hydrogenated at 40 C and 20 bar for 18 hours. The catalyst was removed by filtration and the filter pad washed with ethanol. The solvent was evaporated and the residue triturated with ether and collected by filtration to give the title compound (280 mg, 71%). M/z: 308.
