was synthesized by methods similar to those in Examples 3 and 4:: 2,6-di-iso-propylaniline was condensed with 2,3,7,8-tetrahydro-1H,6H-acridine-4,5-dione to yield 4,5-bis[2,6-di-iso-propylphenylimino]-1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8-octahydroacridine (4). The complexation of (4) with FeCl2.4H2O was carried out with azeotropic removal of methanol in benzene. The structure of the final complex was proved by direct probe GC. Exact mass direct probe calculated for C37H47Cl2FeN3: 659.25. Found: 659.25.
