Procedure

3.9 g of 2-bromo-2-deoxy-malic acid and 2.5 g of selenourea were boiled in 50 ml of acetone under reflux for one hour. Then, the mixture was cooled, thereby to form a precipitate. The precipitate was filtered off to obtain 2-selenoisourea malic acid hydrobromide ##STR12##
