Procedure

Reaction of 3-[(2-aminoethyl)thiomethyl]pyridazine with S-methyl-N-nitroisothiourea by the procedure of Example 2(ii) gives N-nitro-N'-[2-(3pyridazinylmethylthio)ethyl]guanidine. Similarly, by the procedure of Example 2(iii), there is obtained N-methyl-N'-nitro-N"-[2-(3-pyridazinylmethylthio)ethyl)guanidine.
