4 g of 4-(2,3-epoxypropoxy)-9-fluorenone are allowed to stand at room temperature over night together with 15 cc of ethylene imine. The excess ethylene imine is removed by evaporation, the residue is taken up in ether and the solution is concentrated by evaporation until crystallization commences. The title compound has an M.P. of 113°-116°.
