Procedure
Into 10.8 g of methanol containing 2.5% of sodium methoxide was dissolved 1.7 g of 2-[1-(ethoxyimino)propyl]-3-hydroxy-5-(4-methoxycarbonylphenyl)-2-cyclohexen-1-one and the solvent was removed from it under reduced pressure. Thus, 1.8 g of colorless desired crystals were obtained.
Workup
- customthe solvent was removed from it under reduced pressure
