Reaction Steps
4.5 g (0.025 mole) of 3-acetylamino-5-t-butylpyrazole prepared in Example 3 was dissolved in 20 ml of acetic acid, and 4.0 g of bromine was added dropwise thereto while stirring. The reaction solution was heated at 60° C. for one hour and then cooled. 50 ml of water was added to the resulting solution and allowed to stand, whereby crystals were precipitated. The crystals were collected by filtration, washed with water and then dried to obtain 5.2 g of 5-t-butyl-4-bromo-3-acetylaminopyrazole. This product was recrystallized from methanol and found to have a melting point of 234° to 235° C.
