1,1-dimethylethyl (4Z)-4-[(methyloxy)imino]-3-[(methyloxy)methyl]-1-piperidinecarboxylate D32 (1.2 g) was dissolved in methanol (40 ml), raney-nickel (0.6 g) was added under nitrogen. The reaction mixture was then hydrogenated at atmospheric pressure for 16 hours. The raney-nickel was filtered off and the solution was evaporated in vacuo to afford a yellow oil of desired product D33 in 0.7 g. LCMS [M+H] 245.2 [M-56+H] [email protected] min (5 min run)
