5-Fluoro-N-(4-methoxybutyl)-2-nitroaniline (494 mg) was dissolved in methanol (20 ml), 10% palladium carbon (50% in water, 100 mg) was added, and the mixture was stirred under a hydrogen stream at ambient temperature and normal pressure for hr. The catalyst was filtered off, and the filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure to give the object product (451 mg) as an oil.
