Reaction Steps
Synthesis was performed as described in example 19 step b using 17.89 g Hexadecanoic acid 1-dimethylaminomethyl-2-hexadecanoyloxy-ethyl ester, 11.33 g 20-Bromo-icosan-1-ol and 500 ml acetonitrile. The crude product was recrystallized from chloroform/methanol 3:1 and purity of the product was judged by thin layer chromatography and 1H-NMR.
