To a mixture of (S)-7-chloro-2-methyl-2,3-dihydroimidazo[1,2-c]pyrimidin-5(1H)-one (50 mg, 0.27 mmol) and 2-iodopropane (68.7 mg, 0.404 mmol) in acetonitrile (1 mL) was added Cs2CO3 (176 mg, 0.539 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred at 90° C. for 1 h, then cooled to room temperature, filtered and concentrated to give the residue as a brown solid. The crude was used into next step without purification.
